| Will I still need glasses after surgery? |

Cataract Surgery is a curative surgery. It is not to make patient free from glasses or contact lenses. Sixty percent patients need glasses after the surgery and sophisticated implantation of lens.

| What are the post operative precautions? |

Post operatively after phacoemulsification it would be relatively comfortable and you are required to take care of the following precautions:
- Do not splash water in your eyes
- Do not rub your eyes
- Wear specialized dark glasses for protection
- Eye drops as prescribed for couple of weeks.

| What kind of Intraocular lens(IOL) I should opt for? |

| Do Intraocular lens have chances to come out while doing day to day activities or it is permanent? |

| An intraocular lens (IOL) is implanted inside the eye and does not come out at its own, once implanted it is for lifetime. It can only be removed surgically and that too in some special cases.

Phacoemulsification is less complicated in comparison to conventional procedure, it requires only 2.8 mm of small incision through which both surgery & foldable lens implantation is done. The old procedure used sutures and a bigger incision of 10-12 mm. The recovery and visual rehabilitation is very fast after the surgery through Phacoemulsification technique. |
