The word of God says; “The lord orders the steps of the righteous”, so my profound gratitude goes to God Almighty who has used Paras Hospitals as a source of my healing

We (my husband & I) had already finalized arrangements with a Hospital in South Africa when somebody suggested that we also try India. My husband via the net wrote to a few hospitals in India and Paras Hospitals was the quickest to respond. We immediately took that first option. Immediately we were put online with the surgeon and various exchange of e mails, x rays and the travel arrangements were made. It wasn’t long before I saw myself onboard a flight to Delhi.

I didn’t have to ask my way to the hospital, being a stranger and a 1st timer in India. The hospital sent a driver to get me down. Wao! Was my first word at the sight of the Hospital’s edifice.
AS A PATIENT IN PARAS
I saw a group of efficient workers. Consultation began almost 30 mins of my arrival. Dr. Dogra (The consultant - Orthopaedics) a very friendly, cultured, civilized and a warm person and always willing to explain the tiniest medical procedure. I take this as very important because I want to understand each step of treatment am receiving. Medical histories were taken and various examinations, tests and X-rays were carried out immediately. I love the promptness with which these things were done.

The 21st century ideology of team spirit was another outstanding quality of Paras. Whatever good improvement in my health I got was a result of their team spirit. The Hospital is world standard, well equipped and you bet, the care was quite intensive!

I won’t forget him, he has a large bodily presence and is prominent in size and status, Dr. Raman Sethi (Plastic Surgeon). For me he was more than a Doctor. He insisted I be “happy so ‘flap’ will be happy”. He treats that flap like food, so much so that he forgets his gloves! He has kept a bit of my heart in India. Of course the flap is happy! I saw friendship between Raman & Dogra not competition and that gives a healthy work environment.

The nurses are young and smart in looks and job wise but my favourite is Sister Margaret. She treats and talks the sickness off me. Like a mother she’s willing to do anything to make me happy. She made sure they served me warm food. She talked with me. Sister Margaret , Sister Meenakshi Daniela and Sister Kunju are Nurses!

The house-keeping at Paras is good. I got neat fresh towels and my sheets changed at the slightest dirt. Now, that’s in accordance with being in good health. The maintenance of equipment in the rooms is good. My best Kitchen friend was Deepak, he raises my appetite each time he served my food with the way he introduces each meal.

Uday, my physiotherapist, young and exuberant. I know he was young to be pushy so I chose him. With his help and encouragement I could manage to walk till I left. Time was our major problem definitely but with Uday’s encouragement, I would have ran to Nigeria on ‘foot’.

Paras is rich with quality and dedicated staff. They are indeed partners in health.

Paras fixed me in a guest house close to the hospital. Atleast sparing me the stress of cooking for myself. Few of the staff visited everyday till I left India.

I suggest that Paras Hospitals should leave a souvenier with their International Patient for a keep sake and rememberance.
