As we know diet is important for weight loss but daily exercise is most important to maintain our healthy lifestyle. For weight loss, we need to restrict our calorie intake, protein and fat in our diet with plenty of liquids. However, despite the diet control, we can see that after a while we have put on weight again. So dieting is not just the key to weight loss, along with that we have to change our lifestyle. We have to do daily work out, avoid fried and oily food, drink plenty of liquids and also have a good amount of sleep. Sleep is an essential component.

What are the key ingredients of weight loss?

An adequate amount of food, regular exercise and a proper diet low in calorie and fat promotes weight loss. One simply won’t work without the other. Relying on exercise alone can mean that overcompensate for calories that burn, getting in the way of our weight loss goals. Relying on calorie restriction alone causes the body to slow down our metabolism, which scuttles our weight loss goals again. If we are working to lose weight, we’re trying to set our metabolism back on course. We need to combine exercises that challenge our strength, endurance, and flexibility. Aim to work on these types of exercises with “rest” days in between — although even on rest days we have to be active, getting out for a walk, swim or an activity of our choosing.

Permanent weight loss is all about making small daily changes. Simple lifestyle changes are the key to success because they are the only way to ensure that weight stays off.

What to keep a track of during weight loss?

  • We have to keep a record what we eat put it all in black and white.
  • Don’t obsess about what we cannot eat. And remember, positive thinking includes cutting yourself some slack and being kind to yourself.
  • Healthy weight loss is very important.Dieting alone cannot work for effective weight loss, regular exercise is also very important because after dieting, lost weight can be gained back.
  • Initial extreme restriction of calories and follow fad diet can slow weight loss but on a temporary basis. For long-term weight loss, healthy diet with healthy calories, avoidance of processed food can bring effective weight loss.
