Pneumonia is not Contagious.. The most important and simple answer to the question is pneumonia infectious? It m is a lung infection caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi. Few of these germs do spread from person to person, so you may be contagious if you have certain types of pneumonia.

However, not everyone will develop pneumonia when exposed to the similar germs.There are several viruses that can cause pneumonia, and viruses can pass from person to person easily. Like as ` the influenza virus can survive on surfaces, making it even several contagious.Bacterial pneumonia can spread from person to person as well.Fungal pneumonia go through from the environment to a person, but it’s not contagious from person to person.Several pneumonia is caused by either bacterial or viral organisms. These can spread in a large no of ways, including:
1. Coughs or sneezes that aren’t covered
2. Sharing cups or eating utensils
3. Touching a tissue or other item after someone with bacterial or viral pneumonia has used it
4. Not washing your hands regularly, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

1. Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) pneumonia
2. Streptococcal pneumonia
3. Walking pneumonia
4. Chlamydial pneumonia
