Acute Heart Attack
Heart attack or heart failure is the condition when your heart cannot work properly and pump sufficient blood to meet the normal demand of your body. It can be chronic or acute. In the case of acute, it happens suddenly. Women can be more affected with this than men.
Signs and Symptoms
Shortness of breath is the primary symptoms of acute heart attack. Apart from this, there are several other signs that may be similar to that of chronic heart failure. You can feel severe pain in the chest along with tightness. You can have similar pain in your neck, back, and arms as well. You can feel fatigue or dizziness. Your whole body can have excessive sweating.
Causes and Risk Factors
The weak and enlarged heart is the most common cause of heart failure. When the blood is prevented from being pumped out of your heart to the body, then the risk increases. Other causes are
- Blood clot
- Allergic reaction
- Severely irregular heartbeat
- Viruses that damage your heart
Apart from that a previous heart attack or cardiopulmonary bypass surgery can also be the cause of acute heart attack. Anything that can reduce the natural work capability of your heart can be the cause.
Diabetes, coronary artery ailments, irregular heartbeat, certain medicines, viral infections and kidney problems can be the risk factor for this disease.
Apart from medications, there are surgeries and other medical therapies to fight against this condition. The doctor can suggest the process as per your overall health.
