Moles
There are multiple skin lesions, and most of them are not highly dangerous. Moles are one of them. They are usually benign which means non-cancerous. Moles are growth on your skin which is generally black or brown. It can appear anywhere on your skin. Sometimes they appear alone and sometimes in a group. Some moles do not change, and some disappear over time. Some moles have hairs on them, and some do not.
Sign and Symptoms
A skin growth on the skin’s upper layer is known as moles. In general, there is no pain. Usually, moles are as small as a tiny piece of sugar. However, they can be larger in size too. Moles can get bigger and darker during teens and pregnancy.
Causes and Risks
When the skin cells grow in the form of a cluster instead of being spread throughout your skin, then moles appear. These cells are known as melanocytes, and the natural color of the skin is developed by them because they create the pigment of the skin. Moles can get darker when you get excessive exposure to the sun. The teenage is the typical time when people have the maximum number of moles on their skin. Some moles are on the skin at birth, and some appear after birth.
Treatment and Management
Moles in general need treatment when they develop into melanoma or cancer. You should consult your doctor if the size of the mole is bigger than a pencil eraser and the same is uneven.
