Skin Tags
Skin tags are probably the most common single bump that appears on the skin of the adult people. They are soft and small begin skin growth. They can be annoying, but they are totally harmless. Armpits, eyelids, neck and groin folds are the most common areas where they grow. You can have them under your breasts as well. A person can have one to hundred skin tags on different parts of his body. Almost all the people develop at least one skin tag at some point in their entire life.
Sign and Symptoms
You may notice small and soft skin growth on your eyelids or armpits. This growth sticks out on a thin stem. They are harmless and hence most of the time people cannot even know that they have appeared on their body unless they see the same.
Causes and Risks
The real cause of skin tag is not known to the specialists. Typically they form on the part where your skin rubs together. That means the areas that remain folded most of the time. Since the cause is not known, so the risks factors are also unknown in this case.
Treatment and Management
Most of the skin tags do not need any medical attention because they are completely harmless. However, if you feel that they are bleeding, irritated or cause pain, then you should consult a doctor. The doctor may cut them off or freeze their growth. Never try to treat them or cut them on your own otherwise you can have bleeding and infection.
