The sun has many positive effects on our health and body. However, when it comes to our skin, it has a mixed effect. Sunrays contain vitamin D which is very good for our skin. At the same time, sunrays contain ultraviolet rays or UV rays which have many dangerous effects on our skin. Sunburn is a skin disease which is caused due to UV rays.
UV rays can cause immediate problems, or you may notice the problems after spending so many years exposed to the direct sunlight most of the time in a day.
Sign and Symptoms
Most of the sunburn cases have the symptoms of mild pain along with redness. It generally affects the outer layer or the surface area of your skin. You may feel pain when you touch that red area of your skin.
There is second-degree sunburn in which the redness and pain becomes terrible, and you cannot get rid of this issue on your own. You must consult doctors. Blisters may appear when the burning goes into the deeper layer of the skin.
Causes and Risks
The only cause of sunburn is exposure to the sun for the maximum time. However, people with sensitive skin can have this issue even if they remain outside for a little time.
Treatment and Management
Skin problems that last longer can have a chance of getting worse and you may have skin cancer because of that. This is the reason you should go to the doctor in case you notice the problem is increasing.
