The Journey So Far

It’s hard to believe that nearly a decade has gone by since Paras Healthcare was set up. Our vision to make affordable and high quality healthcare accessible to the ordinary man Paras Hospitals in Gurgaon. At that time, we stood out for being the first corporate hospital in the region. Today, we are in the unique position of being a tertiary care centre with global standards of medical expertise backed by state of the art technology and treatments. From being the first hospital to acquire NABH and NABL accreditation in the area, we have progressed to taking the lead in doing cardiac transradial procedures, day care angioplasty, and also establishing the first fully fledged neurosciences centre in a private hospitalin Delhi-NCR, with image guided tumour technology and an unmatched reputation for tackling deep seated tumours.

The success story of Paras Hospitals in Gurgaon provided motivation for the establishment of our new hospital, Paras HMRI in Patna. This was founded a year ago to address the enormous unmet healthcare needs of people across Bihar and Jharkhand and is the first hospital of its kind in the region. A state of the art 300 bedded hospital, Paras HMRI provides specialized medical services in cancer care, cardiac sciences, neurosciences, orthopaedics, and other specialities using non-invasive and other advanced therapies and surgical technologies. Aside from its team of specialists of international and national repute, the hospital has a 4thgeneration oncology treatment facility, Linear Accelerator & PET CT scan. We have a strong rural strategy too and have entered a telemedicine tie-up with World Heath Partners (WHP) to ensure our services reach millions without access to doctors and medical services in the interiors and save them time and money.

Two years ago we launched our mother and child care department, Bliss, at Paras Hospitals in Gurgaon. Its success fuelled our desire to create a new prototype of maternal and child care, which focuses on adopting an ethical, lifestyle approach to women’s health. From birth through childhood, adolescence and adulthood, Bliss offers health solutions to females at every stage of their lives and emphasises the supportive role that men can play. Our maternal and child hospital Paras Spring Meadows, takes a holistic, life cycle view of women’s health and offers a warm and safe environment for expecting women and their offspring.

Despite our success in meeting urban healthcare needs, Paras remains committed to serving rural populations in remote areas who lack access to basic medical facilities.  Our rural marketing strategy is directed at achieving this objective and a recent telemedicine tie-up withWorld Health Partners (WHP) will facilitate this. Robust technology will enable doctors to view the reports and scans of people living in inaccessible rural areas, enabling the early detection and determination of prognosis for those suffering with cancers and other non-communicable diseases. This will save patients time and money, making the dream of affordable healthcare in rural areas a reality.

Though the road ahead of us is long and arduous, our experience at Paras Healthcare has shown us that where there is a will, there is a way. We are confident that our multiple endeavours will help realise the national dream of making healthcare a reality for the 1.2 billion Indians in the country.
