1,500+ Participants Unite for “Let’s Walk for Knee” Walkathon at Paras HMRI Hospital

Paras HMRI Hospital successfully organized “Let’s Walk for Knee”, a large-scale community walkathon dedicated to raising awareness about knee health, mobility, and the importance of leading an active lifestyle. The event witnessed overwhelming participation from more than 1,500 individuals, making it one of the largest community health awareness initiatives in the region.

Led by Mr. Anil Kumar, Zonal Director, Paras HMRI Hospital Patna & Paras Global Hospital Darbhanga, the walkathon brought together people from diverse backgrounds with a shared commitment towards health and wellness. The event was graced by Dr. Ahmad Abdul Hai, Director & HOD – General and Laparoscopic Surgery, and Dr. John Mukhopadhyay, Director & HOD – Orthopedics, whose presence reinforced the importance of preventive healthcare and joint health awareness.

The walkathon saw enthusiastic participation from SSB jawans, CRPF personnel, NCC cadets, doctors, nursing professionals, patients, students from schools and colleges, media representatives, Patna Police personnel, and members of the local community. The entire Orthopedics department, along with hospital staff and healthcare professionals, actively contributed to the success of the initiative.

With strong community engagement and a powerful message centered around movement and wellbeing, the event highlighted the importance of maintaining joint health through regular physical activity. The initiative reinforced a simple yet impactful message: Movement is Medicine.

Through programs like “Let’s Walk for Knee,” Paras HMRI Hospital continues to promote preventive healthcare, encourage healthier lifestyles, and strengthen community awareness around musculoskeletal health and overall wellness.
