Driven by a childhood fascination with medicine and a profound admiration for the medical profession, Dr Karamvir Chandel embarked on a journey that led him to the field of radiology. He did his MD in Radiology from the prestigious PGIMER Chandigarh and subsequent fellowship in Interventional Radiology at a high-volume centre, the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi. He developed a deep appreciation for the transformative impact of interventional radiology. He is dedicated to expanding interventional radiology services in the region. He takes pride in initiating a wide array of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, both vascular and non-vascular, at AIIMS, Himachal Pradesh.
Beyond his clinical responsibilities, he had actively contributed to various research at PGIMER and AIIMS and has published over 30 research papers in various National and international scientific journals. Known for his approachable demeanour and collaborative spirit, he is committed to lifelong learning and eagerly embraces new challenges to further enhance patient care and advance the field of intervention radiology.
