Severe postoperative pain: Soon after the laparoscopic surgery severe postoperative pain occurs. After 24 hours, the pain reduces and less pain observed. Attention is required when the postoperative pain occurs.
Infected incisions: Patient undergoing laparoscopic surgery may experience infections around incisions that are associated with the surgery. This type of side effect is very occasional and the treatment required for this type of infection includes antibiotics.
Upper chest and should pain: Upper chest pain and should pain is the most common type of side effect. The pain occurs due to the increase in the abdominal cavity pressure occurred by the surgeons that are used to increase the abdominal area earlier to the first incision for clear view and to provide improved access to the surgical sites.
Damage internal organs and blood vessels: This is the rarest side effect of the laparoscopic surgery. If in case this type of damage occurs then immediate traditional surgery is required to repair especially if this happens in intestines.
Allergic reactions: There is a possibility of allergic reaction to occur after the laparoscopic surgery.
Fever: Sometimes there is the occurrence of fever soon after the laparoscopy surgery. Vomiting and prolonged nausea occur post laparoscopic surgery.
Pain during urination or bowel movements: Post laparoscopic surgery patients experiences pain during urination and bowel movements.
