Paras Hospital Darbhanga launches Diabetes Care Clinic – 1st in Mithilanchal

Taking into consideration that India is one amongst the top three countries with the highest diabetic population, Paras Global Hospital- Darbhanga has launched a comprehensive diabetes care clinic.  India currently has more than 65 million diabetics and Bihar is the third most populated state in India, making it exceptionally susceptible to have a high population of diabetics.  Our diet, lifestyle and unawareness associated with food items complicate the situation more.

According to Dr Ajay Kumar Lal Das, Consultant – Internal Medicine& Diabetology, “India is projected to become the diabetes capital of the world. Diabetes is a disease that is associated with co morbidity. Due to the duality of symptoms it is a silent killer and can adversely affect a number of organs of the body. Studies highlight that diabetes affects the kidneys, heart and may also cause joint pain. It is important that diabetes be diagnosed at the right time and comprehensive clinical plans be followed to treat and manage the same.”
