National Nutrition Week.
Paras HMRI Hospital Patna and the Institute of Nutrition and Dietetics celebrated the National Nutrition Week – 1st Sep to 7th Sep 2017. The theme for the national week was – Optimal Infant & Young Child Feeding Practices: Better Child Health. The theme highlighted the importance of nutrition in infants and focusing on the diet of the child early to prevent malnutrition, deficiencies and other health ailments caused due to the same. The celebrations included informative blogs written on balanced diet importance of nutrition, the benefits of a well-balanced diet, diet recommendations for children and working women. Dr. Sanjay Mishra, Chief Dietician, Paras HMRI Hospital Patna also participated in a live chat session to discuss nutrition. Numerous patients from various parts of Bihar participated in the same.
On Sep 10, 2017, The Institute of Nutrition and Dietetics at Paras HMRI Hospital Patna organized a CME program that was attended by leading nutrition experts of the city, students of nutrition and dietetics and few avid fitness enthusiasts. The leading nutritionists discussed the Role of Nutrition in Cancer Patients.
