To commemorate the 7th Death Anniversary of Hon’ble Dharmwati Nagar, mother of Dr. Dharminder Nagar, 4 girl students were awarded scholarship support to fund their school education. The CSR initiative was organized under the Chaudhary Ved Ram Nagar Trust founded to support the community with health, education and skill development. The ceremony was organized in Gulawathi – a town of prominence for the trust as the social initiatives are also supported by Paras Dairy.
The 4 girls that have been awarded scholarships are – Ms. Swati, Ms. Varsha, Ms. Komal and Ms. Nidhi. The ceremony was also attended by their parents who thanked the noble gesture of the foundation. According to Swati’s guardian, “This is an excellent initiative by The Nagar Foundation. We are deeply indebted to their support. The trust has been instrumental in providing health facilities, education and skill development to the girls, women and the young boys of the village. Due to their support and guidance, numerous lives and families have prospered.”
Under the aegis of Chaudhary Ved Ram Nagar Trust numerous dispensaries, annual mega health check-up camps, cataract operations, skill development training like computer courses, sewing classes, etc, has been duly provided to the youth and others for rehabilitation and to encourage self-employment. More than 1 lakh lives are annually touched through different social initiatives.
According to Dr. Dharminder Nagar, Managing Director, Paras Healthcare, “Under the Paras umbrella we have organizations that have a strong social conscience. It is our duty and endeavors to give back to the community. Educating the girls in the family ensures the well being of the community. It is these girls only that would shape the future of tomorrow and ensure that their families and children are also oriented towards education and skill. We launched this initiative a few years back and shall be continuing the same as long as we can. This is our small contribution towards our country’s growth.”
