Teaching to become a socially conscious and responsible citizen is perhaps the best education we can give to our children. Extending the thought to society as well, Paras Hospitals organized a tree plantation drive with the 100 students of Ryan International School today.
Paras Hospitals is an organization with a social conscious. The hospital also conducted a similar drive earlier to grow a greener environment in the areas near the institution by doctors, administrators and other staff members of the hospital. The doctors simultaneously talked to students about the importance to maintain the ‘health’ of the planet, by taking care of the surroundings.
The head of the department of Paediatrics and Neonatology of Paras Hospital, Dr. Manish Mannan, who was present at the event, said, “It is important to inculcate the importance of our environment in the young minds. They are the future and it is essential that they become sensitive towards mother earth. If they start today, a small initiative like this will be able to generate a more positive impact on society in the years to come.” “We are dedicated to provide a clean and healthy environment to our patients. Nothing can be cleaner than a green environment. However, through this plantation drive we not only intend to create a better ambience for our patient, also wish to encourage the society to take care of the environment. With increase in population, natural resources are depleting amongst which trees are the only resource we can add to the nature. This drive is the support to the thought that living well within planetary boundaries is the most promising strategy for ensuring a healthy future,” said Dr. Kousar Ali Shah, Zonal Director, Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon.
