PARAS HMRI celebrated International Women’s Day on 08th March 2016. The event was organized amidst a crowd consisting of both male and female employees. Dr. Aruna Bhoy, Facility Director, Paras HMRI Hospital inspired the employees with a motivational speech. The event included a poster making and slogan writing competition on Gender Parity. Employees of different departments participated in the same.
The event was hosted by Maj. Ms. Rama Jaykumar, Chief Nursing Officer, Paras HMRI Hospital and was supported by the HR, Nursing, Housekeeping, Maintenance, F&B. The event also included a Karate presentation by Sensei Abhijeet Singh, National Games Judge and Coach. He along with his team of young karate experts demonstrated the unique crucial steps of self-defense in an easy-to-apply manner. Some of the female staff members also went ahead to do a hands-on with the karate team.
According to Dr Aruna Bhoy, Zonal Director, Paras HMRI Hospital, Patna, “ Hospitals are one of the biggest women employers and they are also an organization that consider women as their main source of strength. 98% of the nurses in any hospital are women, they are also the backbone of any clinical establishment. It is our endeavour to ensure that every women feels equal and secure in our hospital. Programs and international days such as this give us an opportunity to celebrate and thank women for contributing to the society.”
