Doctors at Paras Global Hospital Darbhanga successfully treated a 42 yr old man for multiple ailments. The medical team was headed by Dr Ajay Kumar Lal Das, Consultant Internal Medicine. The general physician treated the patient for Malaria, Pneumonia, liver and kidney infection along with fluid in his lungs.

Mr Ramashray Sharma, 42 yrs old , came to the hospital’s emergency wing in an inebriated condition. He was unconscious and highlighted signs of severe weakness and fatigue. The preliminary tests highlighted the presence of multiple medical ailments. According to Dr Ajay Kumar Lal Das, “Mr Ramashray Sharma seems was ignoring his signs and symptoms for a number of days and the result was the chronic reaction. He was earlier also admitted in a hospital, where they could not understand the underlying cause. We began by diagnosing the organs that were getting affected. We gradually began with getting him his consciousness and strength back and followed it with antibiotics to build his immunity.”

Mr Ramashray Sharma’s lungs were also filled with water and the same had to be drained. Dr Das shares “Pulmonary edema is a condition in which the lungs fill with fluid. It’s also known as lung congestion, lung water, and pulmonary congestion. When pulmonary edema occurs, the body struggles to get enough oxygen and you start to have shortness of breath. Your outlook improves with timely treatment for pulmonary edema and its underlying cause. Hence we started to concentrate on the same.”

After being hospitalized in the ICU for more than 17 days, Mr Ramashray Sharma was then discharged. His wife shares, “ When all the doctors had refused to help and treat my husband, the medical team at Paras Global Hospital Darbhanga stood by us. They treated my husband with dedication and compassion. My husband has got a second lease of life only due to them. I shall forever be indebted to Paras and Dr Das.”
