First Arthroscopic Surgery done in Bihar & North East Region of Patient with 130 kg Weight of Broken Knee Ligament

Patient from Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar with 130 kg weight got his knee ligament broken due to injury. Surgeon based in Itanagar was unable to do this surgery due to heavy weight of the patient. So, he was referred to Paras HMRI hospital, Patna under Dr. Arvind Prasad Gupta, Consultant, Orthopedics (Sports Injury). Dr. Arvind did this tough surgery through Arthroscopic successfully. He used Fibre Tape for the first time which is a France Technique.

According to Dr. Arvind it’s difficult to take out the new ligament from such a fat patient and replace it at a broken place. After surgery there are chances of ligament to get loose, to avoid this Dr. Arvind used the France Technique of adding Fibre Tape with the ligament and then place it in the knee. So, that it doesn’t get loose in future.

Dr. Arvind had done over 500 surgeries of knee and shoulder by the help of Arthroscopic and it had all been successful.
