Medical Excellence Award to Dr Ajay Kumar of Paras HMRI Hospital by Union Minister J P Nadda on Doctors’ Day
Patna: For his excellent contribution in medicare Dr Ajay Kumar, director of urology, nephrology and transplant department of Paras HMRI Super Specialty Hospital was awarded with DMA Medical Excellence Award by Delhi Medical Association on Doctors Day. Union Health Minister J P Nadda felicitated Dr Kumar at Maulana Azad Medical College Auditorium, New Delhi. Minister of Environment and culture Mahesh Sharma was also present on the occasion.
Earlier in 2011 the IMA had awarded him with life time service award and in 2007 he got B C Roy National award. In 2010 Dr Kumar earned gold medal in urology.
Paras HMRI Hospital started kidney transplant under Dr Kumar. He has also served as chairman of administrative and grievance of Medical Council of India. He is member of National Board of Examination (NBE) since 2016 apart from being member of WMA council and its ethics committee as well as advisor to CIMAO.
Dr Kumar had also been president of Urology Society of India (2008-09), president of Indian Medical Association (2007-08) and vice president of Commonwealth Medical Association (2007-10).
