Dr.  SHAH NAVEED

Dr. Shah Naveed is the Director of Surgical Oncology at Paras Health, Srinagar, and an accomplished surgical oncologist with extensive experience in the management of gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) malignancies. He also serves as an Assistant Professor in Surgical Oncology at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar. With over a decade of surgical and oncology experience, he is actively involved in the comprehensive care of cancer patients, including advanced oncological surgeries, multidisciplinary tumor board decision-making, and academic teaching.

Dr. Shah completed his MBBS from Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences in 2009, followed by an MS in General Surgery from ASCOMS, Jammu in 2013. He further specialized in cancer surgery by completing his DNB in Surgical Oncology from Mahavir Cancer Institute and Research Centre, Patna in 2017. To further enhance his expertise in complex gastrointestinal cancers, he undertook a prestigious fellowship in Upper Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary, and Pancreatic Oncosurgery at Tokyo Women’s Medical University, Japan.

His clinical interests focus particularly on malignancies of the stomach, esophagus, liver, pancreas, and other gastrointestinal organs. Dr. Shah has significant experience in managing complex cancer cases and performing major oncological surgeries, often independently or with minimal supervision. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Shah is actively engaged in academic and research activities. He has authored more than 20 publications in indexed national and international journals and has presented 18 research papers at various regional and national conferences.

Dr. Shah remains committed to advancing cancer care through surgical excellence, research, and multidisciplinary collaboration, with the goal of improving outcomes and quality of life for cancer patients.
