About Dr. Wasil Rasool Sheikh
Dr. Wasil Rasool Sheikh is the Senior Consultant and In charge of Emergency Medicine at Paras Health, Srinagar. He holds an MBBS from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and a Master in Emergency Medicine (MEM) from Northwell Health, USA. He is also certified as an instructor in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) by the American Heart Association, along with trauma-focused ultrasound training from AIIMS.
With over a decade of experience in high-acuity emergency care, Dr. Sheikh has held key positions including Head of Emergency Medicine at Max Hospital, Gurugram, and Consultant roles at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Patparganj (Delhi) and The Mission Hospital, Durgapur. His expertise spans trauma, resuscitation, cardiac, respiratory, and neurological emergencies.
Dr. Sheikh is known for his patient-focused, evidence-based approach and strong advocacy for preventive healthcare and community education. He has authored over 30 national and international publications and is a member of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine’s Critical Care Group. His leadership continues to enhance emergency medical services in the region.
