About Dr. Aakashneel Bhattacharya

Trained in Infectious Diseases from Internal Medicine Department, AIIMS, New Delhi, experienced in direct clinical care of patients with specialization in treating HIV, Undiagnosed fever, TB, COVID-19, Post transplant infections and other infectious and medical conditions. I Have been an integral part of the drive in the national policy making and COVID-19 pandemic management in AIIMS, New Delhi. Trained as Academic Senior Resident in Internal Medicine Department, AIIMS, New Delhi for 3 years.
Experience in critical care for 7 years. Lead author of the first original research article on the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines in India.

  • Authored 9 international publications and authored 3 chapters in internationally acclaimed books.
  • Received Dr. L.N. Mahapatra Medal in Microbiology (2019) for securing the highest score in the MD final exam in AIIMS, New Delhi amongst all specialties. 
  • Awarded Pritam Singh Gold Medal (2018) for the best oral presentation in The National TB Symposium in AIIMS, New Delhi.
