Paras Global Hospital Saves Life Of a Person Severely Injured in Accident

Darbhanga, 29 January 2018: Paras Global Hospital, Darbhanga saved the life of 25 yo Sandeep Sahni, who met a major accident and got severely injured. While commuting, Sandeep’s motorcycle bumped into a heavy vehicle. Because of the accident, his intestine got ruptured and his left hand and hips also got fractured. He was admitted to the hospital in a moribund state. His veins could not be located; there was heavy blood loss and the poison kept spreading throughout his body. This condition is called as septicemia in medical terms. The hospital’s general surgeon, Dr. Shamim Khurram Azmi and Orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Dilshad Anwar carried out surgery a successful 3-hour surgery to save the patient’s life.

Dr. Azmi said, “After several tests, it was found out that the patient’s intestine has ruptured, as a result of which his stool got mixed with the blood, making the blood poisonous. We had to cut open his stomach first and fixed the damaged intestines. The abdomen had also suffered injuries, which were treated. Post the surgery his situation normalized. Orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Anwar repaired the fractured on his left hand and hips. He was discharged from the hospital after ten days. It is great to know that his condition is much better off and he has returned to the normal living.”

Dr. Azmi further added, “Had he not been brought to the hospital on time, his life would not have been saved. Our hospital makes it convenient for us to carry out such complex surgeries with ease because of the presence of modern facilities and equipment.”
