Dr. Punia, who brings over two decades of experience, set to boost IT resource capacity of the healthcare group

New Delhi, Sep 2018: Leading healthcare services provider Paras Health has announced the appointment of senior Information Technology expert Dr. Devendra Kuma Punia as its Corporate Head – Information Technology, as the Group focuses on effectively using ICT resources and data to improve its services and healthcare delivery.

Dr. Punia, who has joined Paras Health as Corporate Head – Information Technology at the Group’s Corporate Office in Gurgaon, brings with him over 22 years of experience in the field of Information Technology. With special expertise in the areas of Enterprise System, E-Governance and Knowledge Management, Dr. Punia aims to strengthen the Group’s capacity to employ the use of IT and data analytics in improving its services.

Prior to his new assignment, Dr. Punia has been associated with a series of prestigious organizations including Wipro Limited, FORE School of Management and ProjectsforSchool.com. A large part of Dr. Punia’s experience stems from his career in academics. He has worked with JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur as Professor, Computer Science & Chairman – Corporate Training & Consulting; and University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun as HOD, Department of Information System, among others.

“Having worked with a wide range of organizations in diverse fields over a career spanning over two decades, it gives me immense pleasure to start a new inning at Paras Health. Dr. Punia is a Doctorate in Business Administration – Information Management from Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon; and a B. Tech (Electronics & Telecommunication) from Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur. His key areas of interest include Process Reengineering, Process Automation, and System Design.
