Dr. (Prof.) M. V. Padma Srivastava is one of India's most distinguished neurologists and an internationally acclaimed stroke specialist with over three decades of experience in clinical neurology, stroke care, neurorehabilitation, research, and medical education. She is currently Chairperson – Neurology at Paras Health, Gurugram, President of AIIMS Deoghar, former Chief of the Neurosciences Centre at AIIMS, New Delhi, and serves on the Board of Directors of the World Stroke Organization.
A recipient of the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honour, Dr. Padma has been instrumental in transforming stroke care in India. She pioneered India's first public-sector acute stroke thrombolysis programme, authored the National Stroke Guidelines, led multiple national and international stroke initiatives, and has made significant contributions to neurorehabilitation, restorative therapies, multiple sclerosis, and vascular dementia. She has authored over 512 scientific publications with an H-Index of 58, making her one of the country's most influential clinician-scientists in neurology.
